The Distribution & LTL Carriers
Association |
| |
The Distribution and LTL Carriers Association is a
national trade association that represents motor
carriers whose operations are mainly less than
truckload. The scope of the carriers operations are
local delivery, regional and inter-regional. Many of the
D<L members specialize in overnight and second day
deliveries. In addition, numerous carriers provide
warehousing in conjunction with their trucking
operations.
The current Association, and its predecessor
associations, have over sixty years of history
successfully representing LTL trucking companies. The
current association was formed in 1996 and represents
local, regional and interregional carriers.
The Distribution and LTL Carriers Association affords
the opportunity for member company executives to
collectively gather for the purpose of improving their
business management techniques, keeping abreast of the
latest developments that have an impact on their
operations and learn from each other.
The Associate Members of the association are the leading
suppliers to the industry, from the trucks they drive to
the software that makes the operations run smoothly.
The Annual Management Conference and Exhibition brings
together the top leadership and senior management of the
membership. In addition, the exhibit hall offers our
associate members and other suppliers the opportunity to
display their products and interact with the members in
a welcoming environment. The programs during the MC&E
are informative and the presentations are by leading
industry experts covering the most up to date subjects
that are meaningful to operating a successful company.
Many of our Associate Members provide vital input into
the program.
The re-instituted Educational Management Seminar
provides an opportunity not only for senior management,
but also for future company leaders, to increase their
knowledge in best business practices. The educational
programs provide cutting edge information on the latest
trends to affect the industry in addition to what tools
may be utilized to achieve greater operating
efficiencies. |
